Donald Gottfried serves as a Financial Coach with Profectus Financial Partners. Don enjoys working with individuals and business clients to help them live a life of purpose and impact. Don employs a unique planning philosophy, where he believes that we as advisors can only make recommendations based on our clients having clarity on what their purpose is – what’s important to them and where they want to go. Don says, “Amid our busy lives and many day-to-day responsibilities, discovering and maintaining that clarity is not easy. Job one for me as an advisor is to coach my clients in creating and maintaining the vision of the future they are committed to.”
Don’s 1st career was in high tech. He worked for 20+ years in computer chip design, in the roles of design, field specialist, and sales, always with a strong focus on his customers’ success. Don made the career transition because he discovered his true passion was working with people at a personal level in order to deliver that which makes a lasting difference in their lives.
A graduate of MIT with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Don resides in Andover, Massachusetts with his wife and daughter. They all love animals and over time have had a menagerie of dogs, birds, guinea pigs, and reptiles (Kevin the snake has only been lost in the house twice). Don is proud of the work he did as President of the Rotary Club of Andover to create Andover Cares, an annual festival that has raised more than $100,000 to provide grants to fight the Opiate Epidemic in Andover and surrounding communities.
